About Us

In 2003, we were married at my parent’s farm in Northeast Georgia. From 2003 to 2007 we lived on a working research farm in Rayle, Georgia. We were about 26 miles away from the nearest Wal-Mart and about 12 miles away from the nearest gas station. After a short stint in the insurance arena, financial planning sector, Matt felt the call back to production agriculture. In 2011, we packed up a 3 month old, visited and interview across the country and settled in south central Kansas. Population…53. In the summer of 2013, after our second kid’s birth, we visited and fell in love with a small western town on the western slope of the Big Horn mountains. Population 100. Matt is a ranch/farm manager on a beef production ranch. Marci is the domestic engineer of the family and chases two young girls all over the ranch. We are now almost two hours away from a Wal-Mart and about 45 minutes away from the nearest gas station. This blog is about us, our life, ranching and farming.
