In January of 2015, Ruby started gymnastic lessons. She went every Monday until the last of April. She was excited for each session and worked really hard. By the end, she could do the beginnings of a cartwheel, great log rolls, some fancy footwork on the balance beam and other gross motor skills.
Present

She had a final performance that she was super excited for Matt to attend. He got there and she could barely contain her excitement through her rotations on the floor and balance beam. However, she did REALLY well. She never complained, practiced and had great manners during practices.
Since February, she’s been eyeing a wild rag at a store. She earned the wild rag and a bouquet of flowers from Matt.
She is a gymnast.
Maybe one day she can be a gymdawg!!! Then I can come shuffling in with my walker to see her!!!
She is so cute! Why is she not continuing to do gymnastics? And what is a wild rag? In my mind it’s a rag you are running down and roping…lol
I had a hyperlink to explain, but it didn’t post. A wild rag is the silk neckerchief that cowboys/cowgirls tie around their neck. They are a status symbol among cowboys. The more ornate they are, the more money they are. Solid colors are less. There’s also a special knot they they tie called a “buckaroo” knot. I think this link will show you an image search of them. They are really pretty. https://www.google.com/search?q=buckaroo+wild+rags&rlz=1C1GKLB_enUS627US627&espv=2&biw=1600&bih=799&source=lnms&tbm=isch&sa=X&ei=nAZsVeW3DILVoASMlYOwAw&ved=0CAcQ_AUoAg&dpr=1
They were done for the season. They will do some sessions for the summer. I think we will start back again in September.
