The whole month of May we enjoyed these beautiful lilacs. They bloom every year, but this year I truly enjoyed them more than I ever have. The small towns in the Big Horn Basin all have these lilac bushes. Rarely do you see one that is white. All of the bushes on the ranch are a soft purple/violet color.
There is a row behind the house we live in, one bush near our gas stand and another bush at the “brand” house (one of the original ranch houses from long ago).
They are tall bushes and dense. The robins and grackles love making their nest in them.
We also have a baby bunny that comes out in the evenings.
As the month ends, the blooms have all but gone away. These lilacs days were special.
