Ice Cream Social Gymnastics Spring 2017

In May, the girls had an Ice Cream Exhibition. Basically, they sold tickets for people to eat ice cream and watch them do a small, non-scored gymnastics meet. The exhibition was in a gym that we normally do not practice in. The girls were spilt up into four mixed aged groups. Each group had preschool, beginner I, beginner II, pre-team, and a team girl. The rotations were: floor, tumbling, vault, and beam. Ruby is in Beginner I and Clara is in the Preschool class. Both classes are back to back on Wednesday evenings.

(Rubying going into a hand stand. She can almost do one. It’s one of her goals.)

(Ruby on vault. Tuck Jump.)

Matt was able to attend the exhibition and brought the girls flowers.

They are doing really well in gymnastics. The regular season is over and we are in summer sessions. Clara has really worked on staying in line, waiting her turn, and following directions. She is also working hard on doing a bridge. Ruby really enjoys un-even bars (not at the exhibition), climbing the rope and working on hand stands. We have been super happy about their gymnastics program. We will get a break in July and will start back in early August.
