Well, we didn’t have a TOTAL eclipse. It was more like 98% totality.
Majority of our homeschool day was focused on the eclipse. The girls were super excited. Ruby was more excited to see if it got dark. It didn’t. It was more like a cloudy day.
We had great glasses, made some shades around them and also made pin hole viewers.
Matt got to come by the house when the eclipse was close to the 98%.
The girls have jackets on because the temperature dropped a good 6 to 8 degrees outside. We also had a little wind. Also our time of day was about 11 in the morning. It’s still cool for us at that time of day.
We did not stay outside the whole time. We watched a broadcast on TV and also watched the live NASA stream online. The girls had a great time and it was a great learning experience.
